Re:COLOR!

Botanical Colors Re:COLOR service! Transform tired, stained, or faded clothing into vibrant, one-of-a-kind pieces that you’ll fall in love with all over again.

Have you heard about Re:COLOR?! My good buddies over at Botanical Colors recently rolled out this amazing new service where you can send them a garment and they’ll revitalize it with indigo. In their words “Our natural dye service transforms tired, stained, or faded clothing into vibrant, one-of-a-kind pieces that you’ll fall in love with all over again”.

When I taught at Botanical Colors last month I brought them this dingy pair of farm overalls to transform. I’m bummed I don’t have a before shot for you but just imagine a pair of white painter style overalls covered in farm gnar. The Re:COLOR service offers four different technique styles to choose from: Solid, Blizzard, Willow Shibori, and Ripple Shibori. They’re all amazing and I couldn’t decide which one to choose so I handed over my overalls to the talented indigo artists Kentaro and Zach, and asked them to surprise me. They chose to do their Willow Shibori technique and I’m so in love with the result!

How amazing is it that through this glow-up service a stained old garment can become something totally fresh and transformed? These old overalls are now one of the nicest garments I own. I like them so much that I’ve designated them as town clothes—although all of my town clothes eventually, inevitably end up as farm clothes.

If you have a garment that could use some good lovin’ send it on over to the good folks of Botanical Colors and let them work their magic. You won’t regret it!
