Orvus Paste

Orvus paste is a gentle pH neutral, biodegradable detergent. It is used to scour protein fibers such as wool and silk. It can also be used to wash protein fibers after they have been naturally dyed.

5 ounces per jar

Protein fiber scouring instructions:

To scour protein fibers fill a dye pot with lukewarm water and add your fibers. Add approximately 1 tsp. of Orvus Paste per pound of dry fibers. Slowly bring the temperature up to about 160° F and hold it there for about an hour stirring the fibers very gently every so often. Let the fibers cool in the pot and then rinse them gently with lukewarm water.
