Tiny Quilt no:1

A traditional American patchwork style quilt sewn from tiny 1.5” naturally dyed squares. The sweet palette was created with indigo, madder root, oak leaves, elm leaves, and Hopi sunflowers. The fabric is a mix of organic linen and organic cotton and the batting is organic cotton. This sweet little quilt was machine pieced and hand quilted with Japanese sashiko thread that was dyed with persimmons. The backing is dark green cotton fabric from my garment sewing scrap basket.
