ADOBE STARS QUILT

$7,500.00

This quilt is a story of place. The smokey walnut-dyed color and organic curves evoke feelings of the adobe earthen homes prevalent here in the southwest. Simple yet beautifully complex. All of the colors were naturally dyed by Sara here on our farm. The dyes used to create this soothing palette are walnut husks, madder, and osage.

This quilt was pieced by machine and then quilted entirely by hand. It’s a heavy rustic quilt as it was made with an organic cotton and hemp blend fabric. The polka dots on the back of the quilt were block printed with madder root by Sara. All of the dye colors are stable and colorfast. All of the fibers including the batting were organically grown.

Measures: 102 x 102” (king size)
